Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Buenos Aires - Technical Assistance for the Development of an Electric Mobility Strategy. The World Bank is supporting the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) in the development of city-wide strategies for the adoption of electric mobility. The scope of this activity has three components: (i) developing plausible scenarios to 2050 for the adoption of low carbon mobilityincluding electric vehicles to help setting city-wide targets and inform the adoption of enabling policies, (ii) developing policy recommendations for the deployment of vehicle charging infrastructure, taking into account aspects of energy supply, the roles of the public and private sector, regulations, implications for urban public space, among others, and (iii) assessing the potential to develop an electric vehicle manufacturing cluster in CABA oriented toward small and mid-size producers of light electric vehicles, vehicle retrofitting, among other uses. The three components must be informed by the experience of cities at the international level.
