• Call for external collaborators to provide technical assistance in the development of the Child Labor Risk Identification Model (MIRTI) in Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Peru. Dear bidder, The International Office of the Labor (ILO) is looking for a person to carry out a job as an External Collaborator. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the number of children in child labor decreased by 11% between 2020 and 2024, from 8 million to approximately 7.3 million. However, the regional prevalence remained practically stable at 5.4%, which shows that the absolute reduction has not been sufficient to achieve Target 8.7 of the SDGs and makes it necessary to strengthen the countries' response. In support of these efforts, the ILO and the ECLAC developed the Child Labor Risk Identification Model (MIRTI), already implemented in 11 countries in the region. The MIRTI makes it possible to guide preventive policies through local risk maps constructed from statistical data nationals validated by each country. Within this framework, the Ministries of Labor of Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Peru have decided to implement the MIRTI and have requested technical assistance to validate the applied methodology, adjust results and prepare national and local risk maps in coordination with their national statistical institutes.
